We installed a 38’ long Eastern Sunflexx awning with a 14’ projection, using roof mount brackets to optimize headroom beneath the extended structure. This design choice prevents any risk of the client hitting their head on the awning arm, especially as it extends with a specific pitch.

Strategically mounting the awning on the roof addressed the architectural challenge of the house ending on the right side with an indented section leading to patio doors on the left. This approach allowed us to seamlessly cover the entire area, providing a more cohesive and aesthetically pleasing appearance compared to mounting on the side, which would have necessitated ending where the doors began. Additionally, a protective hood was added to shield the fabric roll from exposure when rolled up, ensuring enhanced durability. The incorporation of a Somfy wind sensor, paired with a Somfy motor, automatically retracts the awning during adverse weather conditions, offering peace of mind for users who may inadvertently leave it extended.
